Jessica Cole
Co-founder/editorial director
Jessica Cole is the lead editor and co-founder of Bloomsday Literary. Her parents’ stories about their time in West Africa with the Peace Corps taught her about the power of those with privilege decentering themselves and working to highlight those whose art hasn’t traditionally been recognized.
Kate Williams
Co-founder/executive director
Kate Martin Williams is the executive director and co-founder. She never imagined that founding a press with two lifelong friends would lead to upending the traditional model of publishing, but that’s where it led, and she’s not looking back. By recentering the artist-as-beating-heart of the book business, the Bloomsday team aims to shorten the distance between the storyteller and the reader.
Phuc Luu
Co-founder/creative director
Phuc Luu is the Chief Design Officer for Bloomsday Literary. His keen design eye and relational approach to collaborating with authors results in a Bloomsday book whose weight—both physical and metaphysical—is a joy to behold. He holds degrees in theology (MDiv, PhD) and philosophy (MA), but has learned the most from the places where difficult questions are asked—in the land between pain and hope—where those stories are told.
